This tiny tea pot is made of a china/pottery material with raised relief artwork around the pot and on the lid. The pot is a matte bisque gray color and the flowers and branches are the traditional cherry blossom tree. They are white flowers and brown branches in a glossy finish. The handle on the lid, if you look closely, is a tree branch. The handle to the tea pot is of woven wicker. It was made in the 40’s in occupied Japan. There are a few pieces missing on the lip of the tea pot. And on the bottom of the pot there is some Japanese letters imprinted. This pot has little tiny hole in the base of the spout to vent and it can be used for potpourri or incense. Still a beautiful piece of artwork and craftsmanship of it’s time.
