This Samurai is dressed in a ceremonial robe made of a satin brocade material.Egg shell porcelain head with hand painted face, brown glass eyes and an open mouth which shows 2 teeth. The body is stuffed with a sawdust material of the time. He has wood arms folded across his waist. The is a hairline crack on either side of head due to age. Possible pre-war ICHIMATSU. He measures 9″ tall X 5″ wide at base.Note the intricate wood weave neck decoration. All original. Good condition for his age.
